Waiman Cheung, Director of Center of Cyber logistics,
holds an MBA and PhD in Decision Sciences and Engineering
Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He had operated
his own MIS consulting company and had worked as a Technical
Staff for Oracle Systems in the US. Dr. Cheung has done studies
and consulting works for DHL, Airport Authority Hong Kong,
Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. and the Innovation and Technology
Commission. |

Sung-Chi Chu has been working in the computer science
field for over 30 years. He spent the last seven
years learning about business and logistics, and has
participated in many of the Center's activities. He obtained
his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1987 from Virginia Tech.
His current interests cover technologies in business applications
and for mathematics education
in an any-to-any ePlatform environment. |

Dr. Michael
Fung received his degrees in Economics from the
Chinese University of Hong Kong (BSoSc) and University of
Western Ontario (MA and PhD). He joined the Chinese University
of Hong Kong in 1991, where he teaches business economics.
He is currently the Director of Institute of Economics, Associate
Director of Aviation Policy and Research Center,a Professor
in the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics.
Dr. Fung has contributed articles to Journal of Business Research,
Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Development Economics,
Journal of Comparative Economics, Canadian Journal of Economics,
Journal of Macroeconomics, Pacific Economic Review, etc |

Michael K.

Dr.
Michael K. Hui was
educated in Hong Kong (BBA, First Class Honor, The Chinese
University of Hong Kong), France (CAAE, University of Aix-Marseille),
and UK (PhD, London Business School). Prior to joining CUHK,
Dr. Hui held academic appointments at the London Business
School, Concordia University in Canada, the Hong Kong University
of Science and Technology. Dr. Hui's teaching and research
interests include services marketing, cross-cultural consumer
behavior, and research methodology. His papers have appeared
in marketing and psychology journals including Journal of
Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Retailing,
Journal of Business Research, Journal of Cross-cultural Psychology,
and Journal of International Marketing. Two of his papers
have won awards from the American Marketing Association and
the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada. He has
reviewed papers for major marketing journals and is currently
an editorial board member of Journal of Retailing and Journal
of Business Research. He has also conducted consulting projects
and training seminars for various public and private service
organizations. |

Y.V. Hui received his BSc from the Chinese University
of Hong Kong, his MSIE from Texas Tech and his PhD from Virginia
Tech. Prof. Hui has taught at the National University of Singapore,
Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of New South
Wales before joining CityU. Besides teaching and research,
Prof. Hui is also active in professional services. His clients
include Australian Government, the Government of HKSAR and
other well-known local business corporations. |

Dr.
Japhet S. Law obtained his PhD in Mechanical/Industrial
Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin in 1976.
He joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1986 and
was the founding Director of the Asia-Pacific Institute of
Business in the University. Dr. Law has consulted with various
corporations in Hong Kong, including the Hang Seng Bank, New
World Hotel and KCRC. He is currently the Regional Vice President
of Asia Pacific Decision Science Institute. He was the President
of the Operations Research Society of Hong Kong and Associate
Editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research
for the past many years.

Dr. Anming
Zhang is a Professor in Operations and Logistics
and holds YVR Authority Professor in Air Transportation at
Sauder School of Business, the University of British Columbia.
He was an associate professor at City University of Hong Kong
from 1996 to 2002 and at the University of Victoria from 1995-1998.
He obtained his PhD in Policy/Management Science in 1990,
and MSc in Business Administration in 1986, from the University
of British Columbia. Dr. Zhang is the recipient of the "Yokohama
Special Prize for Outstanding Young Researcher" awarded
at the 7th World Conference on Transportation Research (WCTR)
in Sydney, Australia in July 1995. He has published over 50
refereed journal papers in the areas of transportation, industrial
organization and international trade. Dr. Zhang has been actively
participating in industry advisory services; his clients included
government agencies, reputable airlines and other industrial
organizations. He has recently co-authored a book named "Globalization
and Strategic Alliances: The Case of the Airline Industry",
published by Elsevier Pergamon.
